If you wonder why I do this, here you are:

My father, who passed just after Thanksgiving in 2022, loved all things Monopoly. He instilled this love in me. I would often buy food at McDonald’s just for the stickers, and give the food away.

Sadly, Monopoly GO! wasn’t released until April of 2023, so he never got to play. For months I would open my game and instantly miss him, wishing he could trade me all the good stickers and knock down my landmarks🤭

One day, I heard someone say they had an alternate account. I saw my dad’s phone, sitting on my bedside table, where it had been for nearly six months, collecting dust. It all made sense in an instant. I charged his phone, made him an account and let him finally be a part of the game he treasured. Y’all he even stole control of his account🤦‍♀️ During a game update, his original account was lost/wiped, and I was never able to regain access. On the anniversary of his passing, I created his second account. So there’s now two accounts in his name in the game.

It helped tremendously with processing my grief, to see him in the game. That connection fueled my absolute addiction to this game. I run a chat group, I moderate a trading group.

Staci and I met in the Facebook trading group and I invited her to my chat group. We each had an Etsy shop, but they shut us down faster than a Wrecking Ball to a landmark without a shield! So, we teamed up and created a Facebook group to give back to all our AWESOME Etsy buyers that followed us; we chat, have lots of Giveaways, and give strategy tips all dedicated to Monopoly GO! We really enjoy trading, playing, and sharing the excitement of completing sets and albums with other players.
